Chances of breaking into LMM PE?

26M - 1st year analyst.

Graduated from a great state school, but was figuring personal things out in my life. Ended up graduating late and went into an FP&A role. Found out quickly I did not enjoy it and joined a regional boutique LMM M&A group this year. Strong deal flow and in a lean team, only work 40-50 hours a week, ~100K TC. My goal is to break into LMM PE within the next 4 years.

What are my chances of breaking in? Do I need to become an associate at my LMM boutique?(That would mean I am in my late 20s by the time I apply to LMM PE groups). Located in a Tier 3 city (Austin, Nashville, San Diego).
