Co-investments analyst role - vs. banking analyst?
Found out that a large asset manager is hiring co-investment analysts. Based on my understanding, this team does solely co-investments and builds a lot of LBO models to assess potential deals. So hopefully this role provides good training on (1) thinking like an investor and (2) LBO technicals
Do you think it is a good position to start a career in PE vs. analyst at a BB? I understand that co-investments is an exciting space to work on, but if by any chance I want to transition to direct buyouts in the future, would this be a good place to be at?
Thanks in advance.
