Coller Capital

Was wondering if anyone had any insights into the investment team at Coller Capital in London?

Have had a few interviews with them and the team seemed nice but their Glassdoor reviews seem to quote a sub-par culture and wanted to see if anyone here had any direct experience? Specifically interested in

  • WLB (M-F hours + any weekend work?)
  • Pay (seems below market / any co-invest / carry?)
  • Progression pathway
  • Flexibility with regards to working from home

They have a data science team which sits within the front office and is directly involved in the decision making procedure which I thought was interesting - any insight on this would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Don’t have much insight but they’ve recently reached out for an interview. They’ve rescheduled it 3 times now, this last time they changed the time the day of a couple hours before and I couldn’t accommodate. They still sent a reschedule link so can’t tell if they’re playing a game or still want to interview, but it’s extremely frustrating

Have worked with them on a few deals. Coller are the sharks of secondaries… very hard negotiators (returns don’t really mirror that tho). They grind their juniors for sure, senior associate was dialing into and running DD calls from his vacation. Good spot if you want to get reps but can’t imagine it’s a place you’d want to stay long term, turnover reflects that.

Edit: this was an NYC team - but imagine it’s no different in London.

Their asso programme is 2.5 years with possible snr asso promo but not guaranteed. Are you currently interviewing, if so what geog / team?
