Corporate Exit Options - MF PC

I work at one of the more well known funds out there in private credit and am currently on track to get promoted to VP hopefully come next year.

I’m seeing the work and seeing the partners above me / VPs and noticing their lives / the work they are doing doesn’t sound particularly more interesting / still required to be always on. I’m not sure the comp alone makes it all worth it at this point.

I’m considering making an exit to a couple of different of corporates (perhaps even HF but less likely). That being said, know I will have to make a haircut to comp + upward comp potential if doing so (in exchange for flexibility and a greater mandate).

That being said, what should I be shooting for in terms of comp + title? I don’t want to destroy the career capital I’ve built to date but also want to make an asymmetric bet to the upside. In the shoes I am in I would think my experience would translate to senior manager / director level at a smaller stage startup (50 or so people). Don’t really know what is market and don’t know expectations (have been quoted up to $265K annual comp for a couple of gigs). Any help or insights would be much appreciated
