DE Shaw Renewable Investments

Anyone know anything about DE Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI)? In IB currently and got pinged by a recruiter a while ago (although for an analyst rather than associate position).

If interested in alternative energy &/or infrastructure would DESRI be a good exit opportunity, or would one learn more elsewhere?

Thanks!

Thanks for responding! I don’t want to reveal anything about my identity but I’m sure you could reach out to someone at DESRI on linked in and find out. I do have a STEM background and demonstrated interest in the area.

Alternative energy - great shop, very smart and does a number of pretty large projects a year.

Infrastructure - Not as good a launch pad, DESRI focuses entirely on utility scale renewables which is pretty niche compared to larger infra PE
