Did anyone else get this email from KKR?
Got a weird email today and was wondering if anyone else did as well. I applied for KKR's 2022 SA program in PE over three months ago in April, and I never heard back from them. But today, I just got an email saying:
"Thank you for applying to KKR's 2022 Summer Analyst Program. Based on your background, we would like to invite you to apply to a new Summer Analyst opportunity on KKR's Private Equity - Retail/Consumer team."
The position is in Menlo Park, and the deadline to submit interest is tomorrow. I'm not really sure what happened. Did I get waitlisted? That would be weird though because I never even got a first round. I can't apply now because I have already accepted a 2022 offer, but I'm interested in hearing others' thoughts.
Yeah, got it too. Is it selective at all do you think? Or does everyone who got dinged get it? I think it's the latter, since my resume was really weak when I applied in the spring and I had no referrals or anything.
Is this just for SA? Or FT as well?
They likely either 1) had someone accept and renege or 2) decided to add another summer analyst on the consumer team. Not really worth reading into beyond that, especially if you’re not considering applying and reneging that role you already accepted
Can confirm it was 1) that Associate 1 mentioned -- buddy from uni reneged
