DL Summer Prep and Career Advice

I'm currently a junior at a target school going to intern in the direct lending group of an AM firm this upcoming summer and was wondering if aside from coursework if anyone has any tips? I want to be as prepared as I can to hopefully receive a return offer, but was also wondering if that doesn't work out how (or even if) I should prepare for FT recruiting (in which case would be anything, like IB or consulting). Thanks!
