Does pedigree matter on the job (for promos, reviews)?
for HFs its pretty black and white but curious for the private markets, whether your background affects ability to get promoted or visibility on top deals?
if PE firms want to show a good team of partners to LPs, is it easier to justify promoting the HBS/H&F person vs. the MM PE guy even if they have similar quality of work and management?
