DUI on record?
I'm an associate at a MM PEG and am working with a few HHs to move to a MF. I was convicted of a DUI late last year (first time, misdemeanor, did not damage property or hurt anyone). I know that I'm a selfish asshole for driving under the influence, and I regret it deeply.
Will this be an issue with firms?
I’m not 100% but I don’t think it’s a huge deal. It’s not a felony or a securities related misdemeanor so FINRA shouldn’t care. It might appear in your background check.
Had a similar issue when doing a background check for a well known consulting firm. They didn't care. Assuming this is your first and only one.
If this industry only employed saints, there would be no one to do the work... Just stop being a dirtbag thanks.
