Engineer Starting MSc Finance in London - no EXP/ Thoughts on how to break into PE

As said in the title i 've completed BEng + MEng in Engineering and i will be starting an MSc Finance from 2018 in Cranfield SOM (Ranked 7th in the UK /30th World from FT). - Internships in Energy/Mining Companies (Big Canadian one) - Real Estate Experience in Construction/Investing through family company (1.5 years) - No GMAT - No IBD or relevant internships.

Goal is to break into PE or M&A for starters. Any thoughts on how this profile would appear in PE companies or M&A boutiques in general?
