Exit Opps at BX REPE
Does anyone have an insight on common exits for BX Analysts at their REPE group?
Is it possible to exit to another MF to do Corporate PE or is it an uphill battle?
Also curious on how hard is to go into a HF from there.
Thanks!

Probably like Marcus millichap investment sales would be best option if I had to guess.
It's possible - just go on linkedin and there are many examples of this
Anyone know about the exits for the BX RE asset management team also?
If you want to do Corp PE then apply to BCP instead
.
Definitely hard... you probably need a mba though. THe models you build at RE are really different from traditional PEs, let alone L/S equity. These two places hire mostly from IBs. I don't have any info on real estate HF, no idea. I did a research on my alumni (H/Y/P/W) who went into RE, although my sample size was small, none of them made the switch (could be they like it).
Is this comment from experience with Blackstone specifically or real estate generally? Blackstone likely differs, as do a few others, from the general real estate private equity fund, specifically because they do a mix of OpCo investing in addition to take privates which are pretty similar to corporate PE.
