Rickets family owns the Cubs though there isn’t necessarily a ‘family office’. The team is the family office if that makes sense. Gugg AM owns the Dodgers but again not really a FO in the sense that you are thinking. Freakin group owns AS Roma. Those are a few that come to mind
Jeff Vinik owns the Lightening and has a family office. Debartolo owned the 49ers (don't know about now) and has a family office. Both live in Tampa.
Tannenbaum family in Canada through Kilmer Group
RedBird has a very large family office contingent in its LP base and owns a minority stake in Fenway Sports Group, the YES Network, and Lebron’s SpringHill among other sports-related investments, plus they offer significant co-invest to those LPs.

Anyone know any other NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB that family offices invest in/own?
Almost feels like most sports teams ARE effectively family offices
but if you're trying to get a job there, it'll be pretty hard and probably not very financially smart to be in the business of investing in sports
