Feedback on On-Cycle Interview Performance

Hi WSO,

Long-time lurker here who just went through the on-cycle recruiting process. Got pretty far with a UMM fund (10+ interviews) and heard pretty positive signs throughout the process. Unfortunately haven't heard back yet (last interview was EoD Friday), so wanted to ask two questions:

  1. Has anyone ever gotten an offer (or heard of their peers getting an offer) from any firm during on-cycle that came more than a few hours after their last interview? (this might be cope on my end - expecting the answer to be no but just wanted to confirm and put my mind at ease)
  2. Is it reasonable to ask the firm/headhunters for feedback and areas for growth going forward (especially given how far I went through the process)? I understand that you only really get one shot with any specific firm, but would love to get some perspectives from the people on the other side of the interview table on how I could position myself better to secure offers in future processes.

Thanks so much everyone!

Any insight into lag time between last interview and potential offer this year? In a similar situation as OP
