Fellow VPs, what is the expectation on your responsibilities for portcos?

Pretty much title.

During my associate years my VP had it easy as fortunately all the portcos we were in charge of was doing well. Yes, we had the random FP&A stuff, and if any major strategic event (bolt-on, debt raise) we would handle but it seemed like the CEO/CFO was competent we never really had to lead any of ghe commercial/strategic workstreams.


Is this common? All this is to ask is as a new (post MBA VP) what is the expectation? Think the investing side is pretty clear but want to make sure I’m doing my part to drive ‘value’
