Finance Jobs with Good Vacation Policies
I've been working in PE for a little over a year and have noticed that no one takes vacation for more than 5 continuous days. Moreover, when people actually do take vacation, half of them are blown up by deal related work and people never really fully unplug.
In undergrad, I really valued international travel and having the flexibility to do multiple trips throughout the year. I'm wondering if this shitty vacation standard is unique to my fund, or if this is an industrywide phenomenon in PE. If it's more of an industrywide issue, would positions in Corp dev/other m&a roles be more accepting of longer vacations? Any insight on vacation policies would be appreciated.
