Hi,
How would you recommend finding an executive search firm that specializes within a given vertical? I did not maintain any contacts with the executive search firms my old PE firm used to place new executives in portfolio companies post-acquisition.
How do you decide between boutique search firms and the large players like Egon Zehnder, Korn Ferry, et al.when finding a firm to place executives?

I reach out to other companies in the same space and ask for recommendations. Usually the same names will pop up.
I've had really bad experiences with Korn Ferry btw.
