Firms That Focus Heavily on The Operations of Their Portcos
What are some firms where as an associate, you get to work a lot with improving the operations of your portcos rather than buy and forget?
I know that as an associate at MF's and UMM firms, you can get get a lot of reps in reviewing investment ideas, DD and a lot of financial engineering. As you scale down to MM/LMM and even GE, I understand your role changes due to a lot of factors. So what firms at the associate level do you get to tangibly work on improving the operations of your portcos and develop those skillsets necessary if you were to buy your own small business in the future (i.e putting that "consulting hat" on)?
For instance, I know that KPS is a good example.
