FoF Co-investment Case Study tips?

Hey guys - have a take-home case study + model coming up for a role on a co-investment team at a large FoF.  Any general tips, hints, or things to focus on?  I'm guessing maybe build in a downside case or two into the sponsor's model, and summarize the opportunity/risks/merits/returns in a PPT to present?  Open to any/all ideas.

If anyone is willing to connect directly I can PM you or drop a throwaway email.  Thanks!

The case study should cover the following areas of DD:

  • Executive summary
  • Merits/risks
  • Industry
  • Company
  • Transaction
  • Financials/model/returns
  • Sponsor fit aka why is this the right sponsor to be doing this deal since they'll be the ones executing on the value creation plan? This is really the only point that would be additional or different from what your memo would look like if you were the GP leading the deal.

Model should be pretty straightforward and if there's the opportunity to build in a downside case or two, that's great.
