Fundraising to investing?
I'm currently in a fundraising junior year internship for a MM firm. I'm coming from a non-traditional background-STEM from a semi-target known for STEM. The more I learn, the more it seems that my chances at landing a decent investing role are relatively poor. Has anyone heard of any cases similar to mine? Could anyone give me advice on what my focus should be? Currently spending my time getting to know all of our different teams/reading up on anything finance related relevant to PE.
Cant bring this up in networking calls, and laterally internally from IR to investing is obviously very awkward.
