GMAT Focus for On-Cycle

I want to start preparing for the GMAT to have a score to offset my lower GPA for on-cycle. So the GMAT Focus is the new version of the exam that is shorter and modified. A 99th percentile on the vintage GMAT is 760, but is 725 on the GMAT Focus. Obviously, come time to apply for MBA, ad coms will understand this, but will HHs and PE firms understand? If I were to get a 725, it translates to 760 but looks lower like a 720. Thoughts? I could take the original GMAT but it is only available until Jan 2024 and I need more time to prepare.
