GS Alternatives Capital Formation?

Any insights on this group? Comp, culture, exits, etc.

Seems to have a sizeable presence in NYC, part of the asset management division. Curious if this is an investing role or more of a ‘support’ function

This is not an investing role... the "capital formation" role is exactly that. It's capital formation for their in-house investment funds. The sales/distribution side of investor relations.

discount to PE/HF IR comp. GS tries to crosssell alternatives to alot of their HNW clients and so your comp is going to get ate into by those WM people as well as all the other support functions in AWM
