GS PIA Private Equity vs Cinven Madrid ?

Hey,

I have 2 Off-cycle internship offers, one at Cinven Madrid and the other at GS PIA PE London. Which one should I choose ? Knowing that Cinven do not recruit anlayst whereas GS PIA does. In terms of exit opp ?

Thx

In my opinion side investments are quite boring. You attend weekly company meetings, do a lot of DD and negotiation, but your influence is rather small.

Cannot speak for Cinven in Madrid, but for a different satellite office, you get a lot of experience and normally you are allowed to attend a lot of meeting, visit, expert calls etc. Why should PIA have a better brand than Cinven here in Europe? Cinven is one of the very successful funds, with interesting portfolio companies and bids constantly against the US MFs.

GS PIA hat current side investments in Advent, Warburg, PAI Partners and Silver Lake (the ones I know). The big advantage is, that you can start FT afterwords and that the switch to one of the mentioned above is quite easy.
