Tried searching for an answer to my question, but didn't find anything relevant.
I'm an international student, currently an SA at a BB, and I'm really interested in eventually going to an MM PE shop. Do any MM PE shops sponsor H1Bs for Associates?

As you might already know, this will be dependent on the individual firm. Best to use LinkedIn to search for people who might have been sponsored. I know people, but I can't reveal the names.
I think that smaller firms have no set rules on these things - and if they think you are a highly desirable candidate, a few thousand extra dollars would not matter really.

Yes a lot of them do. The legal fee for sponsoring is really nothing for them compared to DD and marketing expenses..
