Haven't heard back since final round - please help?
I am a mid-level (senior associate / VP) that interviewed for a role at a PE fund. For context, I left the industry and have been trying to get back in. The process is managed internally (is a large fund) so I am not working with a recruiter.
Anyways, I raced through the entire process (~20 days from first round, case study, debrief and final round) as I had a competing process which I flagged. They were happy to expedite. I finished my final round 4 days ago, and haven't heard anything since. The interviewer asked me to flag any changes in my other process.
When I spoke to the internal recruiter, they said that there was someone else doing a final round - they said that yesterday but I'm not sure when this person is doing their final round. I am getting anxious as if I was the preferred candidate, I thought I would've heard something, as I also flagged my competing process pretty recently.
I'm pretty sure, I might be the first person to finish the process.
For context, this isn't a structured process - managed internally, without an external recruiter, and I applied on linkedin.
Has anyone received an offer for SA/VP after 1-2 weeks? If so, were you kept warm?
