I can vouch that H&F is incredibly well-respected - everyone I know thinks of them as pretty much the most respected PE firm (or tied with Apollo, etc.)
Fund IRRs + MoCs are the best out there. Pay is good, deals are interesting, can go wherever you want after, learn to be a good investor, sectors are cool, etc.
Plus you get to work for Blake Kleinman in London - does a lot of sweet internet deals.
