How difficult is it to get another PE gig after LMM?

Curious on people’s thoughts of lateraling in PE with LMM experience. Obviously a lot of PE firms, but, lateraling in PE (regardless of fund size) seems difficult based on what I’ve read. PE seems to provide a better skillset imo, but banking comp feels stronger with more lateral opportunities.

So feels like the pull to PE is really just great skillset, career optionality, with great comp. Compared to banking which is just grind it out and make some cash.
