How hard is it to get into BB PE?
I'm interested in trying to try to work at JP PE, Or GS PE, and I was wondering how does trying to get into there compare to like UMM, MM, and MF recruitment.
Any insights appreciated

Probably depends a little bit on whether you are outside looking in vs. an insider: by that I mean, I've heard that if you work at Goldman, you could probably transition to GS PE, a lot less painfully than recruiting in from the outside.
I would imagine the role is a step less desirable for folks than working at UMM or MF.
That seems like a strange end-goal.
Why may I ask is working at GS/JPM private equity desirable to you?
