How legit are the HEC-Paris rankings?

Am graduating senior thinking of doing oncycle / offcycle. Have seen a few firms consistently rank in top 3-5 on this list over the years (namely TA and Francisco Partners). Are these rankings reliable? Appreciate any responses that can give more insight on these rankings
Does it make a difference for you where HEC ranks a fund? Are you going to reject KKR for Lindsay Goldberg because the ranking said its higher? Struggling to understand why this matters for you. That ranking is only useful for IR to better market their funds to LP.
