How many deals per year does an associate typically work on?
Trying to benchmark for a potential role. How many deals does an associate (or analyst) close in an average year? What if you include the ones that fail at the LOI stage (or similar)? I'm guessing it varies a lot by fund size / strategy, but any datapoints would be really helpful.
