How much weight is given to model / case study?
Curious on whether you can do average to below average on case study and whether this materially impacts whether you get an offer? Obviously you can’t bomb it, but what if you do just okay?

You have to meet the bar the firm is looking for on the test. They all have internal cut-offs and they very widely by firm. Some of the hardest I've come across are from MM PE firms vs UMM / MF tests.
Depends what the problem was really - if you make some little mistakes that threw off your result but show modeling aptitude and are able to talk through what you did well, all good.
If you were clearly a bit lost in the sauce, struggled with time management, didn't explain well, that is much more of a problem
Is it normally pass or fail type of thing or does it carry weight to next round interviews with more seniors like VPs and MDs?
