How to find investment ideas?

One thing I have always been struggling with for interview prep is finding an investment pitch. How do I identify a company that might be of interest? If you aren’t lucky enough to stumble upon an interesting name during your everyday work, how do you identify specific names / pitches? Are there any “LBO pitch” newsletters / opinions?

Given a lot of work is required to build a pitch outside in, how do you identify specific names upon which you then deep dive?
