How to reach out to headhunters (current PE associate)?

I did my analyst stint at a bank focused on a niche but growing industry and moved to a well-regarded fund focused on the same industry. The move has not panned out as I hoped (bad culture, poor deal-flow, fundraising not going well) and I am currently looking for new opportunities (preferably within the same industry).

When I was in banking, I was regularly getting inbounds from headhunters regarding roles but those have dried up since I made the move over to the buyside. I would like to get back into the recruiting pipeline and actively recruit for off-cycle opportunities at better funds but am concerned that I'm not getting these opportunities because I have already moved to the buyside and am only a few months in. Would appreciate any advice on how to manage the process.
