Indian PE Landscape

Hi,

This platform has been very helpful overall in preparing for high finance roles and also getting know about other aspects of the industry.

However, specific knowledge regarding Indian market is very limited except one or two threads discussing comp.

Putting forth some key introductory questions below to get the discussion ongoing:

(1) How would you rank different Indian PE funds in different tiers? What are the factors you would look at?

(2) How does comp vary between global funds and domestic ones?

(3) How does one break into PE in India? What are the target colleges, feeder firms? Unconventional routes? Both at a pre-MBA and post-MBA level.

(4) How does one succeed in PE? What are thw qualities that differentiates a great analyst from a good one?

Looking forward to an enriching discussion!

Thx
