Nobody really knows how the future will hold for all of software let alone a specific fund, and anyone who tells you they know very likely either trying to fear monger or sell you something. Just like any other starting job, would try to learn as much as possible as your main focus at least in the first year or two. After you have gotten a better sense of the world and become good at your job, figure out if you like it or not and then go from there.
