Industrials PE in Europe
Anybody has insights about the main PE firms with presence in Industrials (automotive, A&D, capital goods, industrial automation, building materials, packaging, chemicals, etc.) in Europe? Interested in MF / UMM / MM both in London and Continental Europe
I understand industrials is a pretty broad sector that every firm with an agnostic / generalist focus kind of covers, but I believe that there should be some firms that look more into it
My understanding is that there should be also a decent share of distressed / turnaround PE firms focusing on industrials given the asset intensive nature of some of these businesses
Thanks!
PAI Partners. Platinum Equity. Maybe Astorg.
Many thanks for the answer. Do you know anything about culture at these firms? Have heard is pretty rough at Platinum, but no real insight. Are Astorg and PAI "too French"?
Adding to the above, Advent, CVC, CD&R, Cinven and LoneStar are active Industrial Investors that come to mind in the large cap space, all of which have different focus areas / approaches to investing.
If interested in the stressed / value space, one should obviously add the likes of SVP, BX TacOpps, Centerbridge and Apollo as well.
Interested as well
Asterion Industrial Parnters, Duke Street, LDC (their PE arm), Graphite Capital, Rubicon Partners. A good way to scope more firms out is to look for industrials focused boutiques and see where people from those went
