Quite a big name. Established alternative investor across public/private managing some $30bn-ish AUM, decent performance and track record across asset classes (European PE has IRRs of ~30% post crisis, LBO’d Gucci, Breguet, Riva, Tiffany’s in the 80/90s). They have multiple strategies similar to most megafund (ie private equity, real estate, credit, absolute returns, strategic capital, infrastructure).
Agree with your first comment. On the office, unfortunately they modernized that setting and it now looks indistinguishable from any of the other endless investment firms on Park Ave, some history lost there imo

I think they invest in corporations.
I would second that.
Sort of like Bahrain's SWF.Good shop as far as I know, more like typical megafund PE than other SWFs.
it is run by accountants...

Mate, this was a 2010 post lol
Second the comment though
I would caveat that a large percentage of their AUM is in real estate. PE doesn’t quite do megafund type deals, more like $50-200M equity checks.
Arguably the most absurd office on the city. Ton of mahogany paneling and country club vibes
Could do you please tell a bit more? I am considering applying with them so every info is appreciated! Thanks
