Is it just me or does Centerbridge sound somewhat overrated?

Too much focus on doing too much across the cap structure, poor fundraising momentum in recent years, mid to decent returns and honestly definitely more of a middle market player than upper middle market. what have your thoughts been? how do they attract the high caliber of juniors and how is the firm perceived on the street?

Why do people want to work for an MM player, really? Like, be honest. It's so much more exciting to work for the biggest, sexiest deals with the biggest corporates... Anyone at an MM who claims otherwise is a liar who didn't make it into a BB.
