K1 Investment Management Exit Opps
Would love to get any insight on how well the exit opps are for K1 junior private equity analysts lateraling or exiting to bigger PE shops in terms of which firms specifically and the location as in LA/SF/NY? Do you guys think your exit opps would be better if your goal is software PE starting from undergrad at K1 in their PE execution role (not diligence) or at a lower-end BB firm in IB think (UBS/DB/CS). Any thoughts would be really appreciated!
I know of one person that started at K1 out of undergrad and exited to Vista after a 2 year stint. Not too familiar otherwise.
I think you have opportunities at both. I'd say if you are sold on tech, K1 seems like a good bet with less flexibility down the line.
Why wouldn't you just interview for their diligence position if you want to do diligence
