Keep trying buyside or lateral

Currently A3 in London at mm firm. Want to exit to either buyside or startup but have struggled massively to get to buyside as very niche industry group and am routinely told that they have gone for people with more “transferable experience”. Is it worth moving to EB/BB for 2/3 years and then exit? In ideal world I wouldn’t lateral but dislike my seniors and want to leave quite desperately

Any advice welcome
