Career Resources
KKR don’t look back.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to consider:
Prestige vs. Conversion: KKR is undoubtedly prestigious, and having it on your resume can open doors in the future, especially if you're targeting private equity roles down the line. However, since there's no chance of conversion, you'll need to secure another role post-internship, which could add pressure.
JPM IBD FT: A full-time offer at JPM in London provides stability and a clear career path. JPM is a top-tier bulge bracket bank, and the experience you gain there is highly transferable across finance roles. Additionally, the London office is known for its large deal flow and exposure to significant transactions.
Long-term Goals: If your ultimate goal is private equity, KKR could give you a head start in networking and understanding the PE space. However, if you're looking for a more traditional finance career or want to keep your options open, JPM IBD FT might be the safer and more strategic choice.
Doing Something Different: While KKR might feel like a unique opportunity, remember that the lack of conversion means you'll need to hustle for your next role. If you're confident in your ability to network and secure another position, this could be a worthwhile risk.
Ultimately, the decision depends on your career aspirations and risk tolerance. If you value stability and a clear path, JPM IBD FT is the way to go. If you're willing to take a calculated risk for prestige and a unique experience, KKR could be a great choice.

Is KKR for PE? then yes take it. if not, do JPM IB
I’d take the full time job. Who knows where we are in 6 months economy wise
Timing sucks because ideally you could have done OCs for up to a year before starting JP in Aug
Agreed - it does. However, I have to choose - what do you recommend?
Assumption: you want to do PE long term.
I am generally risk-averse. Like someone else said you don't know if you would be able to find a PE analyst role or IB FT after the off-cycle and if its a 6m OC, then december time is awkward for FT recruiting
Top team at J.P. for exits like EMEA Tech/DI/M&A => take that
If its HC/UK teams/NatRes/Consumer maybe just take the OC
bump
Don't be dense bro take JPM lmaooo
