KLAR Partners - reputation, salary, general thoughts

Hey all

As the title suggests, looking for some information about KLAR Partners. They appear to be a new MM fund (est. 2020) formed by ex-Triton colleagues. Not a lot of information on this forum or on the internet more broadly, so curious to hear about what others have heard of them, work they do, salary ranges etc.

Cheers!

No first-hand info, but definitely visible that some aspects of their approach is very similar to that of Triton.

For example, see Nimlas which is a buy-and-build case within installation services. This is something that Triton has a lot of experience in (Bravida, Assemblin, Habeo etc.). The geographical focus is also similar to that of Triton, with a focus on the Nordics and DACH.

Pretty much their entire team is situated in London, but the team consists almost exclusively of Swedish / Nordic people. Actually a bit surprised that a mid-cap fund that doesn't even invest in the UK decides to put ~90% of the team in London. Not only does it put them at a distance from their portfolio companies, but it also makes sourcing much more difficult.

I imagine it's very beneficial from a cultural perspective to have a lot of Nordic people though. Nordic firms are often more laid back and hours are often better compared to US / Southern European firms.
