Leaving IB- I need resignation tips

Just landed a great PE gig and I couldn’t be happier. I am hoping that the grass is actually greener on the other side and I will actually get my life back. I signed my offer today and I am going to officially resign tomorrow.   Anybody got any tips for resigning?  Should I get ready to be walked out?

"I am hoping that the grass is actually greener on the other side and I will actually get my life back."

I've got some news for you, buddy.

Probably not greener, but best of luck in the new gig.

Tell your staffer first, they will likely make you send a formal email to them and HR. They will not walk you out unless you're leaving for a competitor, so be ready to work ("work" aka do nothing) the two weeks notice. Then go ahead and tell your favorite associates, VPs, seniors if needed, and your class.

You should have a plan to transition your staffings, set aside some time to walk the new analysts through them.
