Before resigning, I would make sure your background check clears AND your offer isn't contingent on the completion of your banking program.

Tell your staffer first, they will likely make you send a formal email to them and HR. They will not walk you out unless you're leaving for a competitor, so be ready to work ("work" aka do nothing) the two weeks notice. Then go ahead and tell your favorite associates, VPs, seniors if needed, and your class.
You should have a plan to transition your staffings, set aside some time to walk the new analysts through them.
