Does anyone know what an attorney working for BB’s/MF PE’s brings in per year? Very interested in the legal route, but I want to know how the comp differs

curious too. most of my bank’s in house counsel came from corp law so imagine traded in a lot of money for work/life balance
Know a couple people making c. 250k 5 years out of law school and another making c. 200k a year out of law school.

from what I’ve heard, the pay is significantly lower than attorneys at big Wall Street law firms like Skadden or Sullivan & Cromwell where 1st year associates make $200,000+. The main reason why lawyers go work for a bank is because the hours are better.
