List of Buy Side Firms

I just recently graduated and am looking for a list of buy side firms so I can apply to them as an analyst. I know there are hundreds of firms that I have not even heard of and a comprised list would be very helpful in my application process. I have been looking for the Nelson's Directory of Investment Managers but have not found much luck. It has exactly what I need but was discontinued in 2008. Does anyone know of a link, website, or book where I can find a list of these buy side companies?
