London - 2024 FT PE Analyst Recruiting

Starting a thread for 2024 FT PE Analyst positions in London. This is only related to pure-play corporate PE, not credit, infra or real estate. Would be great to share which firms are recruiting for 2024 analyst positions and further information on timeline / processes for those opportunities.

It seems that Warburg Pincus will be recruiting analysts for 2024. I was recently invited to an event by Dartmouth where they would share more information about graduate opportunities. However, I declined the invite so have not received any further information.

I have an offer from GS / MS / JPM and am opting out of banking due to the type of work and the hours. Warburg Pincus is an extreme sweatshop with one of, if not the worst culture in London within PE. I have several friends who went to Warburg after banking and they all quit within a matter of months because they hated it so much. Moreover, returns have been mediocre and they aren't great at either LBOs or Growth. In the end, I felt that it would be pointless to leave banking to end up at a place with as rough / rougher hours, horrible culture and a suboptimal learning experience as I would not get to learn from excellent investors.

Any fund with a combination of strong returns, good culture and decent hours. Permira and Advent are two names that come to mind.

Have worked with both Permira and Advent, and both are very sweaty FYI
