London Exits: What's better for Top PE Exit?

Hey everyone

I'm currently in a situation where I can choose from one of the following:

A) Top Bank Full-time (JP / MS) London

OR

B) Lower BB Full-Time London (Barc / UBS / DB) plus a Top MF PE Internship (EQT / CVC / KKR)

The Top Bank wants me to join earlier which means I cannot do the PE Internship and would have to cancel it

I mostly care about top MF Exits down the line. Whats the best choice here?

I think you should go for the better bank. I do associate interviews. (1) better name, and better deal flow = better experience, (2) i know what our interns do and the reality is that what they do is pretty basic so I discount it heavily, (3) i usually glance the CV and only read the current job closely and will spend most of the intro chat on that vs. Internships

With JPM / MS your experience doesn’t preclude you from interviews for experience reasons (because ‘you haven’t done PE’ reasoning), so I don’t think you lose much by skipping the internship
