London - why do buy-side headhunters ignore candidates?

Hi all,

Just wondering why London buy-side headhunters ignore candidates?

Just a bit about myself - 3rd year analyst at an EB in London (CVP / EVR / PJT / PWP) looking to move to the buyside (UMM / Large-Cap PE). (Think I have sufficient deal experience)

- Got called for an intro meeting Q4 20 with one recruiter who then sent me their recruiting pack; asked for a catch up early in the new year - no reply

- Had a call with another recruiter; felt she didn't take me seriously

- Reached out via Linkedin to a couple of recruiters - seen but no reply

Do I not have enough experience? Has anyone experienced the same treatment? Or am I being impatient / is it just me?

You cannot be at PWP, analysts there got recruited directly without having to go through any process as that guy who moved to HF from PWP explained hahahaah

Now going back to the business, this year is quite a mess and processes keep delaying so be relaxed, some HHs have already started having follow-ups but its quite quiet

Hey

Wondering if anyone has experience with recruiting from an EB in London to PE in the nordics? Or nordic recruiting in general?
