Looking for jobs through cold emailing (attaching investment memo too?)
Curious how this should go... looking to lateral and don't know who covers funds at which I'd like to work. Frankly, don't think any of them do recruiting through head hunters.
I am thinking about emailing and asking if they have time to talk about their fund, have a classic networking conversation, and then if the conversation goes well, ask if there would be any possibility of working at their fund in the future.
Alternatively, thinking about sending the founder an solid investment memo (10-15 slides) on one of their portfolio companies. Maybe a forward approach like this could pay off.
