Looking for opinions on how to approach a Move

Hey Everyone,

Currently I am a credit risk analyst at a BB bank. I have been on the team for about 10 months now and I realized that this is not something I want to do long term. I am looking to understand what would be the next best move for me in my career. Obviously moving to IB would be the next step, especially if I can manage to do so internally but can I use the experience that I have right now in credit Risk to skip this step or is IB the only correct path.

I understand how the job market is right now and I am not going to risk it all and try to compete in this current market. Instead I want to plan ahead for the next year and make sure that I am networking with the right people and studying the right things.

That being said, Where would you guys recommend that I start and how should I go about learning and understanding what I need to know? What career path should I be pursuing?
