MF Capital Markets vs EB IB
Got an offer from a capital markets team from a top MF (KKR, BX, TPG) and I don’t know if I should take that over my IB offer from an EB (EVR, PJT, CVP). My plan was to end up in PE after my IB gig, but would joining a capital markets team expedite that process? I.e. would it be easy for me to jump from CM to PE at a MF?

Do the banking role if you want to do PE. Hard to transfer from cap markets to an investing role
Whats the pay like for cap markets… would I get carry?
